A different looking mushroom has fruited from my Oyster kit

Spores of competitive mushroom species can lie dormant in the substrate, they are resistant to heat, so in some cases manage to survive pasteurisation and overtake your Oyster mushroom Mycelium.

If you think you have anything other than an Oyster mushroom growing from your kit, DO NOT CONSUME and get in touch with the team.
